Alienware introduces 25-in 360 Hz monitor with AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync: 1080p IPS panel with 99 percent sRGB competes with ASUS ROG Swift 360 for the Fortnite and Overwatch eSports crowd. The new Alienware monitor can be overclocked up to 360 Hz

Dell Alienware recently announced the AW2521HF, a high refresh rate 360 Hz IPS monitor targeting eSports audiences. The AW2521HF will compete with ASUS' ROG SWIFT 360 for gamers who want an ultra-high frequency 1080p experience on the likes of the NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti Graphics Card

The overall design of the AW2521HF gaming monitor is fantastic, featuring Alienware's Legend Industrial design. This design features a new bolder and iconic expression of the Alienware brand's style. In addition to the Legend Industrial, design this monitor features support for AlienFX. AlienFX is Alienware's fully customizable lighting system, which allows users to tie the lighting on the rear of the monitor to be tied to in-game actions or be user-controllable.

The new Alienware monitor features both AMD FreeSync and NVIDIA G-Sync technology, making it a match for Navi cards like the AMD RX 5700 XT, Turing heavyweights like the NVIDIA RTX 2080 Ti, and the upcoming Ampere cards.

This monitor features a 24.5" screen size that is ideal for high-speed gaming or eSports gaming setups.
To change any of the monitor's settings, this monitor has a Dynamic on-screen display; this allows users to quickly and efficiently switch between customizable preset game modes.Alongside the thin borders to the screen makes this monitor perfect for both multi-monitor setups or perfect for a single-screen gaming setup.

Dell has not announced an availability date at this point, and Dell has stated that this monitor will release later this year in the "Dark Side of the Moon" color scheme.

The monitor features a fast 1ms response rate, minimizing latency. While its native refresh rate is 240 Hz, Alienware says the monitor can be overclocked to 360 Hz. This implies that select units might even go further, with some luck. Because the monitor uses an IPS panel, it's able to deliver 99 percent sRGB coverage as well as wide viewing angles, both weak points for many of the high refresh rate TN panel sets on the market right now.

For connectivity, this monitor features a total of two HDMI video inputs as well as a single DisplayPort. These ports are located on the back of the monitor, and alongside those inputs, this monitor features a total of three USB 3.0 Gen 1 ports. Two of the USB ports, one port featuring support for Power Charging, located on the bottom edge of the monitor for easier access and a single headphone jack.
